Our Business Model:

Protect

Mandatory condom use, weekly STD checks, and security at the Neon.

Empower

Empower workers to speak up, defend themselves, help them set goals and be healthy. Everyone has potential.

Embrace Life

Prostitution should only be a momentary occupation; a stepping stone to a better life. Help workers leave prostitution and go into a career that they want to go into.

Value

Listen to the workers. The worth of souls is more important than the almighty dollar.

Our Values
The Greeks had it right with prostitution.

OUR VISION

Mother Teresa once said that the greatest disease facing mankind is not cancer or leprosy -- it's the feeling of being "unwanted". Every human being has the right to feel love and to experience love. Some people aren't able to ever experience a lover's embrace because of deformities or things beyond their control. Are these people damned? A person should be free to pay for affection in a regulated, legal place -- a place that offers security and health protection -- if he or she chooses to do so with another consenting adult.

With Nevada, the only place in the United States where prostitution is legal in certain brothels, being too far away for some people, it creates an undue burden and places many in a difficult situation: never feel affection or break the law. Myself and many other people have been placed in that situation too many times and I am tired of living in the shadows of the law and fearing arrest, prosecution, and humiliation if I were to be arrested and I am tired of traveling 8 hours to Nevada's good brothels: Dennis Hof's brothels. Today, I say no more!

I am proud to launch the concept of the Mile High Neon, the name of my brothel (derived from the Greek word "porneon" which means brothel and derived from "the mile high club") that I have created on paper and am therefore seeking to register as I believe it to be a business -- a sexually oriented business just like the many strip clubs in my state and just like the brothels in Nevada.

It has a legitimate business plan that focuses on:
      1. Protection and privacy for the consenting adult by mandating condom use, background checks on workers, weekly STD testing, careful, but non-invasive inspection of the client, and security established at the brothel.
       2. Empowerment for the worker by letting her or him have a time-restricted license and helping her or him realize that she or he has a bigger purpose than just being a prostitute; help them focus on goals. Instead of doing this illegally and instead of telling somebody that they are a bad person, a person should have the right to engage in prostitution while keeping in mind their potential. Also the workers would take classes on how to deal with men and understand why men solicit and to train them in self-defense and interpersonal communications.

       3. Listening to the worker and encouraging honesty so that the Neon would know how she or he (a prostitute can be either gender) is doing and to report any assaults. A girl's word will always be believed and investigated and if found that the client hurt her, he will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
       4. Help her have a life after the Neon. Some people go into prostitution because they are desperate. If they exhibit any abuse or don't like it, we would like them to have mandatory counseling and be connected with a talent agent to find a regular job. For the others, when their licenses expire, we would look back on the goals that they set and give them the option of renewing, but also encourage them to pursue their other hobbies and goals and connect them with talent agents.

I choose to register the Mile High Neon Brothel as I am a law abiding man and do not seek to do anything illegal in all I can do. Granted, there is a law in my beautiful state of Utah that forbids houses of prostitution and therefore I risk the chance of being rejected. If my business registration is to be rejected then I will file a lawsuit against the State and will challenge the laws so that I can legally protect consenting adults.

I can no longer hide under the woodwork. I am a human being and I will have my constitutional rights to live in the confines of the law even if it means knocking old laws down to protect lives and reputations.
